City Charter Quests Accumulating Experience - Kretch Burrows

I noticed that when I fight the Kretch guarding the burrow my experience after the fight is listed as 0, but it actually goes up on my experience tracker (16 exp per kretch). Is this a glitch or possibly because I'm above the normal level of the quest?
