From the Silent Plateau,
From the Isles of Fay-Go,
From the Steppes of the Wild,
From the Shores of the Sea
All their traces but vanished,
Their singing long ceased.
Their battles are lost,
Their dwellings in ruin;
From the mists of the past
There can be no return.
Elves are gone from Faeo
But lo and behold!
Human warriors bear
Elven names of old;
Clans are formed under banners
Of kin lost long syne…
Perchance some Faeans
Are of elven blood-line?
